The Lakers won another NBA Championship. Kobe Bryant once again led the way with 22 points, 15 rebounds and 2 assists. He got Finals MVP honors and the privelege to smile.  Ron Artest once again redeemed himself by having 20 points and a three in the last minute of the game to give the Lakers a 5 point lead.

Sasha Vujavic  made the clincher win he scored two free throws in the last twenty minutes. Pau Gasol also had a strong game.  He had 19 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists.  And I quote "This was the sweetest win of them all." Kobe Bryant. Now it is time to taste that juice.:D

NBA Finals Game 6

The Los Angeles Lakers came back from a disappointing loss in Game 5 to win by 22 points. Kobe Bryant led the attack with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 assists. Pau Gasol had a near triple-double with 17 points,13 rebounds and 9 assists. Ron Artest redeemed himself from his Game 5 blunder with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Pau Gasol put all of the Celtic big men in foul trouble so they had to play benchwarmer Shelden Williams. On the Celtics the leading man Ray Allen had 19 points followed up by the other two members of Big three with 13 and 12  by Pierce and Garnett. Rajon Rondo had a slow night with only 10 points. Since the Lakers blew out the Celtics in Game 6 and Kendrick Perkins was injured many are anticipating the Lakers are gonna win

Game 7. Lets all hope so.

NBA Finals Game 5

Game 5 was intense. Kobe Bryant  went into assasin mode. He had 38 points brought theLakers back from down 12 with 3:30 left. They lost because of heroics by Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce. Paul Pierce killed the Laker defense and scored 27 points. With one minute left the 6'1 Derek Fisher  and the 6'11 Kevin Garnett had the jump ball that could possibly alter the whole series.  Derek Fisher somehow won the tip. Kobe caught the ball and passed to Ron artest who was bolting down the court. He was running down the floor until Paul Pierce slapped his hands. Ron Artest  missed BOTH  his free throws. He and Pau Gasol missed the   most important free throws of their career. Kobe attemped to get the rebound but Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett twisted his arm and dribbled down the court. He was corned then passed it to Rajon Rondo who finished in the hole. The lakers got one final try at winning. Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher both missed their attempts and it was game over. All of this happened in the final minute of the game.  Unfortunately the Irish Luck kicked in and the Lakers are down 3-2.:(

Glen"Big Baby" Davis

Glen Davis has been the key to all of the games the celtics are winning. If you ask me he should be Finals MVP if the celtics win . He has been putting up numbers and fueling the power of the Celtics bench. Just in Game 4 he scored 18 points and motivated the Celtics bench to overcome the deficit the lakers were beating them by and win. Just to prove Davis's presence matters is that in Game 1 Glen Davis only scored 3 points so the Lakers won by 13.  In Game 2 Glen Davis scored 8 points but

the brillant  play of Ray Allen saved the Celtics from the loss of Glen Davis's short comings. But it was those 8 points that changed the momentum of the game after the Lakers took the lead early in the 3rd quarter. In Game 3 Glen Davis had another momentum changer when he scored 12 points in the second Half to get the Celtics back in the game but due to spectacular play by Derek Fisher the Lakers still won. The rest of the series depends on Glen Davis's Ferocity.

NBA Draft

This year's draft class is not very strong. Lead by Evan Turner, John Wall, Wesley Johnson and Brian Zoubek. They don't sound like the next cast of hall of famers. But they are the future of the NBA.  A few prolific scorers such as John Wall and Wesley Johnson can become our new scoring leaders and we will continue the trend of hardworking big men with NCAA Champion, Brian Zoubek.  Evan Turner will give us another Brandon Roy. A complete hardworking scorer who can't really be recognized. This draft class may not be as loaded as I will like but i'll admit that they're not the worst.

Roaring Rondo

In a recent interview with Rajon Rondo he said that he believes he is the best Point Guardin the league. He led the league in steals and was top five in assists. He is extremely well at getting to the basket and because he has no jumpshot he draws comparisions to Tony Parker. i just can't find it in my heart to say he is better than Steve Nash so i'll say he is the third best point guared after Deron Williams. He still has a whole career in front of him . So who knows ...he might develop a jumpshot.

Boston vs. Los Angeles

This is a rivalry that has been was sparked in 1960 when the Houdini of Hardwood, Bob Cousy, and Bill Russell beat the Lakers six times in the sixties to win eight championships. Jerry West and Elgin Baylor teamed up to form a high scoring duo led by point guard Gail Goodrich. In 1984 Larry Bird and Magic Johnson  sparked a whole new Dynasty that resulted in one of the best NBA Finals series of all time. The Celtics went on to win but the Lakers got revenge next year when they won the title in Boston. Magic went on to beat out Larry again in 1987 to end a dynasty. That is until 2008 When the Celtics landed Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen to make a large turnaround and beat Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol in six games. Now in 2010 they match off again and this time players on both teams have developed and the teams have changed.
